LinguaNext announced Sunday the acquisition of Image Point Technologies. LinguaNext is a global application language enablement solutions provider. The move has enabled the firm to foray into India. LinguaNext eyes an over Rs300 crore revenue in the next three years, a top company executive said. LinguaNext will offer local language solutions mainly in the e-governance, insurance and human resource verticals.
Atul Tulshibagwale, LinguaNext’s CEO reiterated that the firm expects the demand for local language solutions to grow in the next two to three years. He noted that the acquisition of Image Point enables the firm to build on its position as a trusted software provider to large public sector companies. Image Point is already active in the application language enablement space in the country, with a strong focus on the banking vertical.
The company is looking at capturing 10 per cent of the Rs 22,000 crore e-governance market taking its revenue to around Rs 300 crore in the next three-years, he said. Other than that, it also expects a more than Rs 10 crore business each in the insurance and human resource verticals in the next one year, he added.
Application language enablement solutions provide an enterprise-wide platform that enables all applications like Microsoft, SAP and Oracle to become multi-lingual. English skills cost companies and governments a huge amount, as less than five per cent of the population is able to understand it. The investment will enable customers to localize any application through the firm’s software called SPeeD Suite, he said.
LinguaNext, headquartered in Pune, has more than 2,000 enterprises as its customers and is present in five continents. LinguaNext is the developer of unique next-generation localization solutions. The firm provides vendor-independent products and solutions that power expedient, accurate and highly scalable localization of custom or off-the-shelf software applications.
It also enables localization for any language and region localization including right-to-left and complex scripts. Its customers have a wider choice of software and are not forced to upgrade to newer versions in order to get localization. LinguaNext provides SME and enterprise solutions including LinguaPacks for packaged software and the LinguaNext SPeeD Suite for custom applications.
With an installed base of over 1 million desktops using LinguaNext solutions globally, LinguaNext is the localization vendor of choice from SMEs to large enterprises. LinguaNext is privately held and is headquartered in San Jose, CA.
